Ten Christmas Gifts That Will Definitely Delight Techies

If you haven't started shopping for your Christmas gifts yet, now is definitely the time! But if you need some help in trying to figure out what's the latest and greatest tech gadget to gift someone, here are some ideas.

1. Bowers & Wilkins PI7

Looking for the best-sounding true wireless earbuds and willing to splurge? Check out the Bowers & Wilkins PI7. It might be pricey, but oh boy, do they sound incredible! There's even a nifty re-transmitter feature in the case so you can plug the case into whatever source you want (computer, laptop or even on aeroplanes) and audio will stream to the earbuds.

2. Garmin smartwatches

That being said, if you're looking to get fit and track your exercise journey, there's really no better smartwatch than something from Garmin. We've tried a few different ones over the years and recently, the Garmin Forerunner 55, which is an excellent companion for runners especially, with a built-in GPS and above-average battery life. But if you want to take a look at Garmin's offerings (and at other Christmas-themed gifts) in person, there's actually a Lazada popup event happening at Orchard Road from 1 December 2021 to 2 Jan 2022 where they're showcasing plenty of gadgets that can be purchased off LazMall and LazMall Prestige!

3. Anything from Apple

Apple has been on an absolute roll this year, pushing out product after impressive product. We were impressed by both the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Mini, and the M1 iMac was a breath of fresh air with the gorgeous pastel colour options. AirTags are Apple's solution for forgetful people who lose their keys in their own home all the time (like me!) and if you're gifting these this year, I'm sure they'll be pretty well received.

If you're looking for something even more festive, well, Apple's red offerings definitely invoke Christmas vibes and the AirPods Max in red is absolutely stunning.

4. Nikon Z fc

For budding photographers, Nikon's new APS-C mirrorless camera, the Nikon Z fc is a gorgeous gift. Based on the retro look of film cameras, there are a bunch of features inside to help take creative shots like the 20 Creative Picture Controls presets that can be applied straight to photos.

Our favourite feature though has to be the flip screen that allows you to take street or architecture photographs really easily.

5. Samsung Z Flip3

People who wish for smaller phones will absolutely love the Samsung Z Flip3 phone, because not only is it lightweight and compact, it's also very durable with the hinge rated for 200,000 folds, meaning you'll be able to use the phone for around five years!

The specs are decent as well, with a 6.7-inch 120Hz refresh rate screen, an improved Cover Screen, decent cameras and a speedy Snapdragon 888 processor inside, so you can rest assured the phone isn't under specced compared to the Z Fold3.

6. Osim Smart DIY Massage Chair

Now here's something that the whole family can enjoy together. The Osim Smart DIY Massage Chair is unique in that it comes in two different parts, a back massager and a leg massager. Therefore, it can be moved around easily and propped up against any chair or sofa, meaning you can have a massage in your study room, in your bedroom or in the living room!

The massaging strength is also pretty good, and if you have this in your living room, be prepared to take turns with your family members!

7. Sony WF-1000XM4

For people with long commutes to work or school, a good pair of noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones are a godsend. And one of the best ANC earbuds out there is the new Sony WF-1000XM4. It handles all sorts of background noise with ease, from cars and buses to trains, people talking nearby and more.

With Bluetooth 5.2, LDAC support and more, these earbuds are chock full of features to make the listening experience even better.

8. LG Gram 17

With work from home and hybrid work becoming the new norm moving forward, it's more important than ever to have a laptop that can go from home to office and back, especially without being too heavy. The LG Gram 17 is an ultra-lightweight 17-inch laptop, weighing in at just 1.35kg thanks to the use of magnesium alloy in the chassis.

The screen is excellent and you get around 11-13 hours of battery life with real-world usage, which is definitely better than a lot of other laptops out there. Pair that with the portability of the LG Gram 17, and you've got something that works well whether you're at home or out and on the go.

9. Dyson Supersonic hairdryer

It's nice to head to the salon for a blowout for sure, but if you go regularly, it can get pretty pricey. Instead of taking time out of your schedule to head down, the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer with its multitude of accessories might be a better choice.

The flyaway tool that Dyson introduced earlier this year is the perfect finishing attachment when paired with the hairdryer, helping to make sure that your hair strands are smoothed down and looking sleek. If you've got a special lady in your life, whether it's your mom, your sister or your partner, this might be worth the splurge!

10. Razer Blade 14

Not forgetting about the gamers out there, the Razer Blade 14 is a must-see gaming laptop. It's the first-ever laptop from Razer to come equipped with an AMD processor, and you can spec it all the way to get an RTX 3080 inside, a 1440p screen with 165Hz refresh rate and more in a lightweight 1.78kg package.

The battery life, trackpad and speakers are all great, and it definitely makes for an excellent gaming experience.
