Anthropic has launched tools that let people build data dashboards and animations inside Claude, the assistant the company sells to businesses and consumers. The additions are aimed at broadening the range of workplace productivity tasks that the company's subscription product can handle. Reuters reported that both tools arrive alongside a wider release of software Anthropic had been testing with customers during a beta period.

Claude Dashboards is in beta on paid plans, so it is not part of the free tier that casual users rely on. It connects to business data platforms and to the systems companies use to manage customer relationships, according to the company. Users then build live dashboards and analyses from queries written in plain language rather than code, an approach Anthropic describes as removing the need for specialist help.

Claude Motion is in beta for Team and Enterprise customers, the tiers sold to organisations rather than individuals. It lets a user create animations that stay editable and export them as video files for wider use. And the beta label means access is limited for now, with no stated date for a general release.

Anthropic said the two tools were built to help users analyse business data and create visual content without coding. The company did not name any customers using the betas, publish performance figures, or point to an independent test of the output. Those omissions leave the practical accuracy of an assistant generated dashboard or explainer clip unverified by anyone outside the company and its own testers.

Claude Docs, Slides and Design are now generally available across every Claude plan. Anthropic said the three tools had been through a beta period before the change. The shift widens access to software that was already inside the product rather than altering what it does, and it applies to paid accounts and their lower tiers alike.

But the announcement left several practical questions unanswered. Anthropic did not disclose prices for Dashboards or Motion, the number of users in either beta, or the date when testing ends. So teams cannot yet plan either tool into a budget or a wider rollout with any precision, and procurement staff have no published terms to weigh against competing suites.

Nor did the company explain which paid tiers reach Dashboards first, how many business data platforms it connects to, or what resolution and file formats Motion exports. Each of those details usually shapes a buying decision, and none of them appeared in the material released with the tools. The source article carried only a short description of each feature and the company's stated aim.

The launch lands in a crowded field, where the largest AI developers keep stacking analytical and creative features into subscriptions they already sell to companies. Reuters framed the announcement against that contest, describing AI firms vying to broaden their suite of workplace productivity applications. Every addition of this kind makes the assistant a candidate for work that teams currently hand to separate analytics and video tools, which is the ground on which the subscriptions compete.

For people who already pay for Claude, the immediate change is a wider set of jobs handled inside one product. Dashboards cover reporting requests that often sit with an analyst, and Motion covers short visual explainers that usually need editing software. So the practical gain is fewer handoffs between the assistant and separate analytics or video tools, and neither feature has been demonstrated on ordinary business data outside the company's own beta programme.
