6 Tech Things to Look Out for in the New and Improved Funan Mall

Funan reopens today, new and better than before, so here are six tech-related services and concepts in the shopping mall to keep an eye out for!
1. Smart Parking
It can get pretty hard trying to find a parking spot when it’s crowded and then have to remember where you parked your car, with sprawling carparks spanning multiple levels. Thankfully, Funan’s new smart parking lots allow you to reserve a lot, find your car and pay the charge for parking, all through the CapitaStars members app!
2. 24 Hour Click and Collect Drive-through
Work odd hours and need a replacement for your broken electronics urgently? Funan has got you covered with their 24 hour drive-through where you can order products online and collect it past the mall’s operating hours.
Retailers can use this to fulfill orders from CapitaLand’s Lazada store as well, making it a great feature for people who don’t want to wait even a day for delivery, just pick it up yourself at your convenience!
3. KOPItech
Forgot to withdraw cash for your lunch? KOPItech (by Kopitiam) at B2 has you covered with their wireless payment system that even accepts cryptocurrencies! In addition, you can order your food through the Facebook Messenger app. No need for chope-ing tables while your friends purchase their food first anymore!
4. VR pods at GV
If you’re early for your movie and don’t know what else there is to do in Funan, check out the VR pods at Golden Village! You’ll be able to play games like Beat Saber, watch animated films like INVASION! and more. The content available there is supposed to be rotated monthly, so you’ll always be able to experience something new when you visit.
5. eSports Zone
For the avid gamers out there who miss the good old days of LAN parties and tournaments, I reckon the eSports Zone will be your new hangout spot. Gaming store GamePro will be hosting eSports tournaments at this dedicated gaming space in their new shop at Funan. Dota 2, Apex Legends and PUBG fans, be on the look out for this.
6. Level 3 – The IT in Funan
Of course, how can we leave out all the tech shops on level 3? This floor is dedicated to tech, with shops like DJI’s flagship store, Bose, Nikon, Sony and more all having a presence.
