5 Home Beauty Tech Products To Keep You Looking and Feeling Good

Although the CB (circuit breaker) period in Singapore has ended, most of our beauty parlours and similar services will still be closed until Phase 3. We know that many of you are craving for that facial or massage session, so here are some beauty tech and health products that might help to tide you through this period.

1. IPL Machine

Japan IPL, Musee and Datsumo Labo are popular hair removal services that are closed for now. Before closing, many customers flocked to those places in hopes of getting one last treatment before the “lockdown”. With the CB period extended, it may be frustrating for some (myself included) as our hairs grow longer… There’s a temporary solution for this – an IPL Machine! This device will be an easy and efficient way to deal with your hairy problems. There are various brands and the cost price ranges from $50-400. Maybe after using your home-based machine, you won’t even need to visit IPL salons anymore!

2. Facial Devices

This period is a good time to step-up our skincare routine and appear with glowing skin after the CB. But with our regular facial sessions disrupted, how is that possible? Facial skin renewal devices are a costly but effective investment. Known to be non-invasive, it helps anti-ageing by tightening and smoothing the skin on our face, neck, and hands. We previously reviewed the LG Pra.L line, which consists of a cleanser device, a device that cleanses the skin and helps serums penetrate more deeply, a device that tightens the skin and a wearable mask to improve skin tone and firmness. It’s essentially a whole facial skincare treatment in the comfort of your own home!

3. Massage Gun

All the massage places are currently closed, while massage chairs are normally too expensive and they always become the white elephant in the room. Have you heard of a massage gun? A massage gun is portable, powerful, light and it certainly relieves your sore necks or tight shoulders efficiently. Costing anywhere from $40-$100 for entry-level models, even expensive massage guns like the Theragun G3 Pro might be a good long term investment as well. It can be used on any part of your body and normally the gun comes with different heads to target different areas.

4. Heating Patch Device

A heating patch is a pad that warms different parts of your body to manage pain. It is known to help blood vessels dilate, aid blood circulation, relieve pain, and many more benefits. I find it especially effective to relieve stomach cramps and lower back pain. The cost ranges from $20-$200, depending on whether you buy a normal heating pad or an electric one.

Nevertheless, it is a good long-term investment for the well-being of your body!

5. Electric Toothbrush

Compared to a normal toothbrush, an electric toothbrush typically helps you better remove plaque buildup from your teeth and gums. Some electric toothbrushes may even improve your oral health by reminding you not to apply too much pressure while brushing, like the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Electric Toothbrush. In some way, it reduces your need to visit your dentist for regular cleaning. This is a good must-have in the long-term, especially for those that love to snack and have a sweet tooth.
