Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G in Singapore

Xiaomi is expanding its lineup of upper-mid range devices in Singapore with the local releases of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G.

Both devices, as the Chinese tech giant touts, feature flagship-level camera specs. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G sports a triple-rear camera system that consists of a 200MP main lens with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2Mp macro lens. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G sports a similar triple-rear camera system but replaces the main lens of the Note 12 Pro+ 5G with a 50MP IMX766 lens with OIS. The cameras of the two are enhanced by artificial intelligence software algorithms and other utility features.


The two Redmi Note 12 devices ship with the same bright and vivid 6.67-inch Flow AMOLED displays, which have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and support Dolby Vision. Xiaomi claims the P-OLED materials used for the panels enable both devices to have slim bezels, bringing a more immersive viewing experience for users. The displays also boast a peak brightness of 900 nits and DCI-P3 wide colour gamut.


When it comes to the internal hardware, both devices are powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, paired with Mali-G68 graphics.

For battery, both devices house 5,000mAh packs. Only the Note 12 Pro+ 5G, however, features Xiaomi's smart 120W HyperCharge wired charging solution, which can fully juice the device in 19 minutes. The Note 12 Pro 5G tops out at 67W for wired charging.


Other features of the two include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a side fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.


The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G comes in three colours – Midnight Black, Polar White and Sky Blue – with one storage variant of 8GB+256GB. Both are coming out on Saturday, 13 May, with the former priced at S$569, while the latter is priced at S$469.
