Samsung has launched three new additions to its Odyssey gaming monitor range, including the world’s first OLED display with a 500Hz refresh rate.

The flagship model, the 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 (27G60SF), features a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time, and support for both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It is certified to the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 standard.
The OLED G6 uses Samsung’s Quantum Dot OLED technology, which enhances colour purity and brightness. The monitor can reach a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and delivers deep black levels thanks to its self-emissive pixels.
Samsung has also equipped the OLED G6 with a Glare Free screen to reduce reflections and Pantone Validated colour accuracy. It includes OLED Safeguard+ technology, which uses image analysis and a pulsating heat pipe system to prevent screen burn.

The other two models in the new lineup are the 37-inch and 40-inch Odyssey G7 monitors. The 37-inch version offers a 165Hz refresh rate and 4K UHD resolution (3,840 x 2,160) with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The 40-inch Odyssey G7 increases the refresh rate to 180Hz and features a WUHD resolution of 5,120 x 2,160 with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It also supports split-screen gaming.
Both G7 models include a 1000R curvature, 1ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, auto source switching, and CoreLighting+ ambient LED lighting. They also offer tilt and height adjustment.
All three monitors are now available on Samsung’s website. The Odyssey OLED G6 is priced at USD 999.99, the 37-inch Odyssey G7 at USD 899.99, and the 40-inch Odyssey G7 at USD 1,199.99.
