Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 To Happen on 20 October

Samsung recently announced its "Galaxy Unpacked Part 2" event that will happen on 20 October 2021 at 10 a.m. ET or 10 p.m. Singapore Time and will start streaming on Samsung's website at that time. The name of the event probably indicates that we might be seeing iterations of existing Galaxy phones rather than all new ones.

The technology company posted an invitation to the event on its website, where not many details have been shared. However, it did mention the words "individuality" and "self-expression", which might let us know what to expect in the event.

"Our users are multifaceted and live life in so many colourful, interesting, and unique ways. As such, the technology they use every day should reflect their individuality," wrote Samsung in a blog post.

This could hint at new colours of existing Galaxy phones or perhaps even an option for full-on customisation. For example, we might be offered a chance to choose the colours on each side of the Z Flip3's fold and the teaser image might have given us clues on that.

Last year, Samsung released the Z Fold2 and let customers have the option to choose the accent colour for the smartphone's hinge, but that option wasn't given to Z Fold3 buyers.

Samsung's announcement came after Apple and Google revealed the date for their respective product launch. Apple's new hardware event will take place on 18 October 2021. Here, the company might unveil two new MacBook Pro laptops, a redesigned higher-end Mac mini and the AirPods 3.

Meanwhile, Google will launch the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro on 19 October 2021.

In the last Samsung Galaxy Unpacked, the South Korean electronics firm unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, Galaxy Watch4 series and Galaxy Buds2.
