Klipsch T5 True Wireless Review: 8 Hours On True Wireless? Sign Me Up

True wireless earbuds have now steadily taken over my heart, and plenty of others I’m sure. The convenience can not be stated enough, but it’s not all that convenient when the earbuds run out of battery. Enter the Klipsch T5 True Wireless with 8 hours of battery, and an additional 24 hours in the charging case.
That’s an insane amount of battery life. Other true wireless earbuds like the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless last just slightly under 4 hours, so having double the average battery life is a huge plus. There’s also USB-C fast charging through the case so 15 minutes of charge will provide 2 hours of listening time.
The earbuds are bulky though, there’s no way of getting around that. If your ears are smaller, the buds will stick out and you’ll definitely feel it in place. But thanks to the oval ear tips patented by Klipsch, the noise isolation is actually pretty good even though there’s no noise cancellation built into this.
While Melissa doesn’t know what the Klipsch sound is, I have had a bit of experience with older Klipsch earphones. I would personally describe it as bright highs that can get a little fatiguing at times, but that wasn’t my experience with these earbuds. It was easy to listen to, but we found that the music volume had to be adjusted for these.
Usually I’d listen to 80% volume on my Samsung Note 9, or about 50% for my iPhone with other audio products (Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless, Fiio FA1, etc). For the Klipsch, I had to raise the volume on my iPhone to about 60% or 70% for it to sound roughly as loud as the other earphones would. That was surprising but my experience seems to not be a common one, with only a few other reviews mentioning this, so perhaps it’s just an issue with my listening volumes in general.
The sound quality is great though, the highs were clear and bright, with great depth and power to the bass. I had to twist the earbuds around a few times to find a solid fit though, and I find myself constantly re-adjusting them throughout the day to try and make them feel more secure.
Another gripe Melissa and I had was the fact that Klipsch decided to go with physical buttons. Touch controls are the way to go, in my opinion, but the controls are similar to most other true wireless buds, so it won’t be too difficult learning what presses do what.

We also had the chance to speak to the team at Klipsch on what they’re looking to go into in the future. They mentioned ANC, which I’m very excited for, as well as hearables, and even the possibility of amplifying sound instead of cancelling noise, which is an interesting prospect.
Overall, while the music quality doesn’t quite match the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless, the Klipsch T5 True Wireless beats it on price (S$469 vs S$349) and overall value.
