Sony PlayStation and Insomniac Games during a panel held at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in the historic Hall H dropped a new story trailer for the PS5 exclusive, setting up the story for the long-awaited sequel. The nearly two-minute long trailer contains cinematics featuring Peter Parker and Miles Morales in action, as well as the first full look at Venom.

Check out the trailer here:

"At the beginning of our story, our Spider-Men are at the top of their game," teased the game's Senior Narrative Director Jon Paquette. "But both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are struggling with their personal lives."

"Miles is trying to find time to write his college entrance essay, but he keeps procrastinating and focusing on Spider-Work instead," he explains. "Meanwhile, Peter is underwater on payments for Aunt May’s house, but he can’t sell, it means too much to him."

Alongside the new trailer, Sony and Insomniac also announced a limited-edition PS5 bundle, which includes a custom PS5 console cover design and matching DualSense wireless controller. The designs are supposedly meant to reflect the intensity of Venom as a threat to the heroes, showing the symbiote consuming Spider-Man’s iconic red and turning it black. The bundle also comes with a digital code for the Standard Edition of the game.

Those who already own a PS5 can get the covers and the controller as standalone purchases, though prices have yet to be announced.

Pre-orders for the PS5 bundle, the controller and the covers go live on Friday, 28 July at select retailers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, with a release set for 1 September. Those purchasing the PS5 bundle must wait until the release of the game to redeem the included digital code.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 releases exclusively on the PS5 on 20 October.
