Apple is creating specialised chips to power upcoming smart glasses, artificial intelligence servers and future MacBooks, according to a Bloomberg News report.

The chip for smart glasses is reportedly based on Apple Watch processors, designed for low energy consumption and capable of controlling multiple cameras.
Mass production of the chip could begin by the end of next year or in 2027. The glasses, if successful, may launch within the next two years.
The chip will be manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
Apple is also developing processors for AI servers to support its Apple Intelligence platform, which includes features such as notification summaries, email rewriting and integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
The company has already introduced on-device AI features in its latest iPhones and continues to expand its in-house silicon capabilities.
In February, Apple unveiled its first custom-designed modem chip for connecting iPhones to wireless networks.
Additionally, Apple is working on new Mac chips, expected to be named the M6 and M7.
