AMD’s latest enterprise-focused processors are here.

The semiconductor giant announced the launch of the EPYC 4005 Series processors, which promises to deliver the performance, features and efficiency small and medium enterprises need to power various operations.
The series consists of the 4245P, the 4345P, the 4465P, the 4545P, the 4565P and the 4585PX.
“With the latest AMD EPYC 4005 Series CPUs, we are delivering the right balance of performance, simplicity, and affordability, giving our customers and system partners the ability to deploy enterpris-eclass solutions that solve everyday business challenges,” said Derek Dicker, Corporate Vice President, Enterprise and HPC Business Group at AMD.
These new processors use the same, widely deployed AM5 socket used by the EPYC 4004 Series, enabling them to be deployed in a broad set of enterprise-class form factors like servers, blades and towers. They’re also supported by many of AMD’s partner vendors including Altos, ASRock Rack, Gigabyte, Lenovo, MiTAC, MSI, New Egg, OVHcloud, Supermicro and Vultr.
Here’s a look at the specs of each processor model in the series:

Meanwhile, when it comes to compute performance, the EPYC 4565P 16-core was able to beat the top-of-stack 6th generation Intel Xeon 6300P by 1.83x in testing on the Phoronix.
All processors in the series are based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture. For memory, they feature two channel DDR5 up to 5600 MHz with ECC support, UDIMM and up to 192GB/s memory via two DIMMs per channel. For connectivity, they support up to 28 I/O lanes of PCIe Gen5, 20G USB Type-C with optional USB4 add-on, DisplayPort 2.0 and HDMI 2.1, among others.
AMD further touted that the series delivers advanced features at low system acquisition costs, making it an attractive choice for small businesses and hosted services embracing the AI era.
The most affordable model in the series is the 4245P, priced at $239. It's followed by 4345P at $329 and the 4465P at $399. The 4545P, meanwhile, is priced at $549, while the 4565P is priced at $589. The most expensive model in the series is the 4585PX, priced at $699.
