5 Things You Should Know About The Sennheiser CX 400BT

Updated: Aug 20, 2021

If you’re looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds that sound great without burning a hole in your wallet, the Sennheiser CX 400BT ticks all those boxes and more.

Here are five things you should know about these earbuds.

1. Sound Quality

Thanks to utilising the same 7milimeter drivers as the Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds, audio quality is excellent. The sound is clear and detailed, with a surprisingly wide soundstage and impactful bass that’s textured and packs a punch.

2. Passive Noise Isolation

You won’t get active noise cancellation on these earbuds, but honestly? You might not even need that feature. The earbuds provide a good enough seal that results in quite a bit of passive noise isolation. Fans whirring and the low droning of a car’s engine can be blocked out quite well, making the CX 400BT great for use whether at home or on the go.

3. Battery life

You get seven hours of battery life in the earbuds, with an additional 13 hours in the case for a total of 20 hours. This means the earbuds will be able to last for quite a few days between charges, so don’t worry even if you forget to plug them in!

4. Fully customisable touch controls

Another excellent feature is the fully customisable touch controls. In the Sennheiser Smart Control app, you’ll be able to familiarise yourself with the touch controls for each earbud. But if you’re not a fan of the default touch control settings, why not create your own? You’ll be able to change what each tap, double-tap, triple tap or long-press controls, whether it’s pulling up the voice assistant, skipping tracks or even changing the volume.

5. EQ features

If the sound signature of the CX 400BT isn’t entirely to your taste, you can also use the equaliser function to tweak it to your liking! In addition to the parametric EQ, Sennheiser has also added a three-bar slider EQ for bass, mids and treble, which is definitely a nice touch.

The Sennheiser CX 400BT also supports aptX in addition to SBC and AAC, so you won’t have to worry about lag when watching videos or playing games. Bluetooth 5.1 also ensures that connection is rock solid.

The earbuds come in both black and white, and can be purchased at Sennheiser Singapore stores in Marina Square and Marina Bay sands, as well as at Sennheiser’s web shop.
