11 Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals Worth Splurging For

Updated: Nov 26, 2021

It’s that time of the year again when there are sales aplenty. You’ll at least be glad to know that you can feel less guilty about buying yourself a new gadget, with how big some of the discounts are. So here’s a roundup of some of the great deals that we think you should check out this coming weekend.

Samsung Galaxy S21+

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ ticks all the boxes of what you might want out of a smartphone. It’s powerful, it has a sizeable display and it has a gorgeous design. If you’re looking to upgrade your smartphone this year, this is a good option, with Samsung discounting the device down to S$1,111 from its original price of S$1,498. What’s more, you can get an additional S$80 off of your purchase if you’re one of the first 400 to redeem the promo. You can check out this deal on Samsung's official online store from 26 November until 30 November.

LG OLED C1 & G1 TVs

LG's Red Fair isn't a Black Friday or Cyber Monday promotion, but it's the company's year-end deal that spans from 18 November all the way till 2 January 2022, which means you'll be able to consider this for Black Friday or even for Christmas if you rather.

Additionally, LG is not exactly offering discounts for its OLED C1 & G1 TVs. You are, however, getting a lot of freebies with your purchase, which in a way counts as savings as well. If you purchase an 83-inch OLED C1 TV, a 77-inch OLED G1 TV or a 77-inch OLED C1 TV, you’ll be receiving a pair of LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 Bluetooth earbuds, an Xbox One S console, free wall mount installation and three months of Apple TV+ subscription, totalling up to S$916 worth of freebies. This deal is available via LG's authorised retail outlets.

Huawei Freebuds Pro

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro is one of the most affordable earbuds with active noise-cancelling capabilities available today. Sure, it’s doesn’t have the best sound quality, nor is it the most stylish. But those on a tight budget who are still after some relatively capable earbuds can’t go wrong with this one.

The initial retail price of S$238 is already quite attractive, but now that it’s being discounted to $198, this package is close to irresistible. You can avail of the deal on Huawei’s official Shopee and Lazada stores.

Dyson Digital Slim Fluffy Extra

When it comes to vacuums, Dyson is almost unmatched. The only problem is that they never come cheap. But this weekend, the popular brand is discounting its lightweight and cordless Digital Slim vacuum by S$120 and throwing in complimentary tools worth S$96 with your purchase. The deal is available on Dyson's website and at its physical stores.

Nintendo Switch OLED

While the Nintendo Switch OLED model isn’t the 4K console that we were hoping to see, it still packs some cool upgrades over the original, including a bigger and brighter display. The Switch, despite being four years old now, is still as popular and as accessible as ever. Now, Amazon.sg is giving you a S$49 discount on your purchase of the new Switch OLED, dropping it to S$500. With this model only being a few months old, it’s a treat to already get discounts on it.

Sony WH-1000XM4

More than a year after its launch, the Sony WH-1000XM4 remains one of the best noise-cancelling headphones in the game. We included it in our list last year and it’s still worthy of a spot this year. If you missed your chance to get it, you’d be glad to know that this year’s sale price is lower than last year’s. You can snag a pair for S$379 this weekend, down from its retail price of S$499. Plus, you can get an extra S$11 off for a total spend of S$150, S$30 for S$400 or S$60 for S$650 on Sony's Lazada and Shopee stores. The deal for the WH-1000XM4 is available at Sony's online and offline stores.

The brand’s most highly touted Garmin Forerunner 945 is down to S$698 from its original price of S$899. You can also get a S$20 off voucher for no minimum spend, along with a S$50 off voucher for a minimum spend of S$500. That's an extra S$70 discounted from your total.

The Forerunner 945 features a new optical heart-rate sensor and long battery life. It also adds the ability to play music to your headphones from your watch via Bluetooth.

You can find the deal on Garmin's Lazada store.

Bang & Olufsen is a brand known for producing great-sounding and high-quality audio hardware. The Beoplay E8 is no exception. This pair of true wireless earbuds boast a stylish design and crisp clear sound.

They were fairly pricey when they first launched at S$499. But with Lazada running an exclusive promotion that slashes S$100 off of the retail price, the Beoplay E8 is now within a reasonable price range that’s easier to recommend. Do note, though, that only the Anthracite Oxygen colourway will be discounted down to S$399.
