The Asian fintech startup announced on Tuesday, 15 August it's rolling out Apple Pay integration, enabling you to link your cards to your iOS devices. Doing so would make transactions, including online and in-store purchases as well as public transportation payments, faster, more secure and completely hassle-free.

The launch of Apple Pay compatibility comes as YouTrip celebrates its fifth anniversary.

"YouTrip started off as a travel wallet five years ago and has now become the go-to payment option not only for foreign currency transactions, but also for everyday transactions for different purposes," said Caecilia Chu, CEO and Co-Founder of YouTrip. "We are excited to launch Apple Pay as part of our anniversary celebration to make the YouTrip payment experience even more seamless."

To connect YouTrip to your Apple Pay wallet, open the YouTrip app and head to Cards. Once there, tap Add to Apple Wallet, which you can find at the bottom of your physical and virtual cards. You'll be redirected to the Apple Pay page and you'll notice that your details have been automatically filled in. Simply hit Next, then agree to the Terms and Conditions and you're through.

YouTrip is also thanking users for all their support over the last five years by launching the Simply YouTrip It campaign.

From 15 August to 15 September 2023, you can earn up to 10% cashback when you use your YouTrip card to pay for public transport using Apple Pay.

The campaign is meant to incentivise the convenience of contactless payments by helping commuters save on public transport fares.

The startup is also letting you earn 5% cashback for contactless public transport payments using non-iOS devices. In line with that, Google Pay compatibility is scheduled for launch later in the year.

In June, YouTrip modernised the look of its app interface and card design as part of a brand revamp it dubbed YouTrip 2.0.
