Tencent Launches Buddy One To Link Office Applications And Artificial Intelligence Agents

Tencent has launched Buddy One, a system that connects its productivity applications for individual users to a single artificial intelligence agent. Alongside the new platform, the company released Tencent Drive as a cloud storage layer designed to support this agent setup.

Buddy One links Tencent Docs, Tencent Meeting, Tencent Drive, and the knowledge tool ima through the WorkBuddy agent. Users receive a single account across all integrated applications along with a shared pool of artificial intelligence credits.
Users link their accounts by utilising version 5.9.0 or later of the WorkBuddy personal computer client. This integration allows requests to trigger cross-app searches across authorised documents, meeting records, and knowledge bases without manual context pasting.
A Buddy One VIP plan is priced at SGD 130.68 per month and includes top-tier WorkBuddy access, Tencent Meeting Pro, Tencent Docs premium membership, shared credits, and 1 TB of storage. Tencent Drive is built specifically for agents and serves as a shared store for multiple company applications.
The storage platform connects to supported third-party agents and applications through a command-line interface and the Model Context Protocol. For businesses, Tencent Drive runs on Tencent Cloud Object Storage with end-to-end encryption, off-site disaster recovery backup, and virtual private cloud deployment.
Tencent Cloud Chief Dowson Tong stated that enterprises should retain the freedom to choose their models, agents, and messaging applications. The enterprise edition of WorkBuddy also increased storage allocations from 5 GB to 50 GB per seat.
