The German audio specialist today, unveiled new TeamConnect (TC) Bar Solutions at a virtual launch event. These new members of the TC are also expected to be demonstrated in-person at InterOp Tokyo and InfoComm Orlando this week.

The conferencing devices, as Sennheiser touts, are " true problem solvers" that are feature quick setup, brand agnostic integration, easy management and control and high video quality, among other useful features.

"At Sennheiser, we've specialised in superior audio quality for years, but found a strong video partner in the independent test laboratory 'Image Engineering' to ensure that the video quality stood up to the audio quality that is synonymous with our brand," said Ronja Harste, Product Manager of UC Solutions at Sennheiser. "That led to the development of our first all-in-one device, the TeamConnect Bar Solutions, which are the most feature-rich all-in-one conferencing devices in their class."

The TC Bar S for small meeting spaces features four microphones and two speakers, while TC Bar M for medium spaces has six microphones and four speakers. Both work with any meeting platform and can be further enhanced with other compatible products, including those from Sennheiser.

For audio, the full-range stereo speakers of the devices come with improved directivity pattern and optimised passive radiators, enabling natural speech and better intelligibility. Integrated beam-forming technology, meanwhile, ensures the transition between presenters is seamless, providing freedom of movement within the space.

Additionally, the built-in DSP, along with the option to adjust audio settings via Sennheiser Control Cockpit, lets users further optimise the devices for the room's acoustics.

The TC Bars even come with an automatic conference and music mode switch to provide the best audio to match the content.

They also integrate into different room designs, supporting a range of mounting options, such as wall mount, VESA mount, tabletop or freestanding. The option of using Dante for adding extension mics and a second external USB camera make the devices even more scalable.

For video, on the other hand, the 4K Ultra HD camera features artificial intelligence features like "Autoframing" and "Person Tiling" to allow conference participants to clearly see everyone in the room.

Sennheiser’s agnostic ecosystem philosophy also means the devices are compatible with many major media control systems from partners, with certifications currently in process. For basic adjustments, several features, like zoom, person tiling and more, can be found on the included remote control.

As for security, the TC Bars follow industry best security practices and their configuration is password protected. Any communication the devices have with Sennheiser Control Cockpit and third-party media control systems are encrypted using industry standard Transport Layer Security 1.2, protecting them from any misuse. The TC Bars additionally support IEEE 802.1x network authentication. A lens cap is also included to cover the camera when not in use.

The TC Bars begin shipping later in the year.
