North Korean Hackers Targeting Russian Targets, Microsoft Reveals

In a recent blog post, Microsoft Corp has disclosed that North Korean hackers have been targeting Russian diplomats and successfully infiltrated a Russian aerospace research institute earlier this year.

While Microsoft did not provide specific details or evidence, it stated that the cyberattacks took place in March. The report suggests that North Korean threat actors may be taking advantage of Russia's focus on the war in Ukraine to gather intelligence on Russian entities.


The North Korean mission to the United Nations and the Russian embassy in Washington have not yet responded to requests for comment.
