Microsoft announced that it is releasing Microsoft Office 2021 as a one-time purchase later this year along with a few updates. With the one-time purchase, Office 2021 will be supported for five years.
There will be two versions, the Office 2021 for consumer use and the Office Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) for commercial use. The company has plans to release Office 2021 for personal and small business use.
