Musk's Grok-1.5 AI Chatbot Set to Launch Next Week

Elon Musk's xAI to release Grok-1.5 AI chatbot on social media platform X next week. Grok-1.5 expected to surpass current AI capabilities and undergoes training. Early testers and existing Grok users to have access to the enhanced chatbot in the coming days.

Elon Musk, the renowned entrepreneur and CEO of various companies including Tesla and SpaceX, has announced that his artificial intelligence startup, xAI, will be releasing the latest version of its chatbot, Grok-1.5, on his social media platform X next week. Musk made the announcement in a post on X on Friday, stating that Grok 2, the upcoming version, is expected to surpass current AI capabilities in all metrics and is currently undergoing training.

The enhanced version of the chatbot, Grok-1.5, will initially be made available to early testers and existing Grok users on X in the coming days, according to a statement released by xAI on Thursday. This move is aimed at gathering feedback and further improving the chatbot's performance before a wider release.

This development comes shortly after Musk's decision to open-source Grok, which he announced earlier this month. The decision was made in response to his dissatisfaction with Microsoft-backed OpenAI, whom he recently sued for allegedly deviating from its original mission in favor of a for-profit model. Musk's xAI aims to compete directly with OpenAI and Alphabet's Google in the field of artificial intelligence.
