Here’s Why You Should Consider Getting the Technics EAH-AZ60 Earbuds
Technics impressed with their first-ever earbuds back in 2020, the Technics EAH-AZ70, and now, they’ve continued that streak with the EAH-AZ60 earbuds. These are an excellent pair of earbuds for just about anybody.
Let’s start off with the sound quality since that’s usually the biggest impacting factor for any earbuds. The EAH-AZ60 sounds fantastic. They’re energetic and well-rounded with fantastic clarity in the mids and highs. The bass is punchy as the earbuds are powered with 8mm drivers inside, and the overall presentation is cohesive and well-put-together.
Building on that, the earbuds actually offer LDAC support, which will definitely be a big plus point for audiophiles as it means that music can be streamed at a higher bitrate for an uncompromised listening experience.
But another important feature that the EAH-AZ60 has is the ANC, and it’s just as good as the ANC from the EAH-AZ70. Utilising a dual hybrid feedforward and feedback system, the earbuds are able to effectively cancel out lower-pitched noise, and it’s great to be able to listen to music in peace without being disturbed by the rumblings of your commute. Speaking of which, there’s no noticeable degradation or distortion of the sound even with ANC on, which is a major plus.
With remote work and virtual calls being so common these days, plenty of people are finding themselves in need of a good pair of earbuds that not only sound great but are able to perform when it comes to microphone quality too. The EAH-AZ60 comes with eight mics in total across the two earbuds, and the speaker’s voice is picked up clearly with a clear reduction in background noise and chatter, which makes these earbuds a very decent option when you need to take a work call or zoom meeting.
Comfort is also incredibly important for earbuds; nobody wants to take their earbuds out halfway through a virtual meeting because their ears are hurting. Thankfully, the EAH-AZ60 is small and light at just 7g per earbud, which means the earbuds can be worn comfortably for hours on end without any fatigue.
That being said, maybe you don’t need ANC or LDAC. You just need a good sounding pair of earbuds that work well for both music and calls, with great battery life. Well, there’s the more affordable EAH-AZ40 that looks just as sleek. It is packed with six microphones, Bluetooth multipoint connectivity and more in a small and comfortable package.
The Technics EAH-AZ60 earbuds come in black or silver and retail at S$379 with an ongoing promotional price of S$339. The EAH-AZ40 come in black, silver or rose gold and retail at S$299 with an ongoing promotional price of S$229.
The earbuds can be purchased at the official Panasonic e-commerce platforms on Lazada, Qoo10 and Shopee, or at ConnectIT, SAM Audio and Zeppelin.
