Rockstar Games has released a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, offering a fresh look at the highly anticipated open-world crime game set in Vice City.

The trailer, released on May 6, comes just days after Rockstar delayed the game's launch to May 2026. It is the second official trailer, following the first in Dec. 2023, and was captured on PlayStation 5.
The video introduces new characters, including main protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. According to Rockstar’s newly released story description, the duo becomes entangled in a conspiracy after a heist goes wrong.
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” the description reads. “But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida.”
The trailer features a range of new characters, action sequences, locations and vehicles. Familiar elements from previous GTA titles, such as Ammu-Nation and specific vehicle models, also make a return.
One standout moment includes a high-speed sequence reminiscent of Fast Five, where a safe is dragged through the streets by a car.
Rockstar has also updated the official GTA 6 website with new screenshots, story details and additional content.
GTA 6 is set to launch on May 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game was initially scheduled for release in Fall 2025.
There is no confirmation yet on support for Switch 2 or PC, though a PC version is expected after the console release.
