The search engine giant today announced the integration of Gemini, its most capable AI model yet, into Workspace apps, as well as launched a new standalone experience that allows users to chat with Gemini.

The chat experience allows you to ask Gemini for help in sharing market insights, researching business opportunities or generating a new logo, among other tasks. It also features enterprise-grade data protections and copyright indemnification, ensuring your organisation's confidential data is safe.

The features will be available via two plans: as a Gemini Enterprise add-on, which replaces Duet AI Enterprise, and as a Gemini Business add-on, which comes at a lower price point and extends access for teams and organisations of all sizes.

Gemini Business gives you access to Gemini in Workspace apps for as low as US$20 USD per user per month, with an annual commitment. Meanwhile, Gemini Enterprise, formerly Duet AI for Workspace Enterprise, includes all access to Gemini, along with AI-powered meetings, which includes features like caption translation in over 100 languages and notes generation, for US$30 per user per month, with an annual commitment.

If you don't have an enterprise Workspace account, you can still access Gemini through your personal Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Meet apps through a Google One AI Premium subscription.

"Over the last year, more than a million people and thousands of companies have used generative AI in Workspace to not just get more done, but to do things they’ve never done before," said Aparna Pappu, GM and Vice President of Google Workspace. "As we embrace this next wave of innovation, we can’t wait to see all the ways Gemini will help people be more creative, boost their productivity, and transform how they work."
