The gaming peripheral maker has launched the new G7 SE controller, a licensed Xbox controller featuring Hall Effect sticks. Hall Effect uses on-contact magnetic sensors to boost the reliability of sticks, preventing them from wearing down and drifting. The sticks can also maintain pinpoint control for extended periods of time, which can be particularly useful in first-person shooters.

Stick drift, for those unfamiliar, is when the stick essentially stops behaving as it should, moving on its own with minimal or no input from the gamer.

The precision-tuned triggers, meanwhile, enables ultra-responsive and accurate controls, giving gamers a competitive edge.

What's more, the controller comes equipped with back button quick latches, allowing gamers to undo unintended inputs quickly. The feature can enhance gameplay by preventing accidental button presses, while helping ensure gaming sessions go uninterrupted. The buttons can be enabled or disabled to match gamers' play styles in different games.

The G7 SE is also customisable, featuring swappable, paint-friendly faceplates that allow gamers to match the appearance of the controller to their gaming setups. Gamers can additionally customise their controller settings via the GameSir Nexus software. There, they can change button mappings and create unique profiles tailored to their preferences. They can switch between the different profiles they have created on the fly by inputting simple button combinations.

The controller is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10/11 and seamlessly connects to any of these platforms via USB-C.

Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone mute button and built-in rumble motors in each of the grips and triggers.

The G7 SE controller is now available for purchase for US$44.99 via the U.S. Amazon store and GameSir's website.
