Dyson Drops New Purifiers And Vacuums, Powered By Even Smarter Technologies Now!
Updated: Dec 19, 2023
Dyson continues to push the envelope in engineering new tech that makes it easier and smarter for you to maintain a clean home.
The household appliance maker unveiled six new devices that bring together the innovations which have long been part of its product development, including automation, advanced software and intelligence with improvements in cleaning performance.
"Our future vision is of a home that can look after itself," said Dyson Chief Technology Officer John Churchill. "The new technologies launched today are the embodiment of this – the most powerful robotic vacuum cleaner, intelligent, large-room purification, and for active cleaning, new cordless vacuums and cleaner head technologies that offer adaptive, multifunctional cleaning when and where you need it."
The Dyson 360 Vis Nav is the appliance giant's next-generation intelligent robotic vacuum, packing up to six
times the suction power compared to others of its kind. It's engineered with Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) technology and comes equipped with a 360-degree vision system and fish-eye hemispheric lens, enabling it to remember where it has been and see where it cleans.
The combination of these systems even allows it to create dust maps for your home and the internal processor also collects data from 26 sensors for dust detection and obstacle avoidance. The vacuum also features a full-width triple-action brush bar and dual-link suspension under the hood.
Sticking to vacuums, the Dyson Gen5detect is a new cordless vacuum that features next-generation Hyperdymium motor technology to deliver more suction power and capture viruses in your home. The cleaning device comes equipped with a fully sealed, whole-machine HEPA filtration system, which, as Dyson claims, can capture 99.99% of particles down to 0.1 microns. It also comes with a Fluffy Optic cleaner head with upgraded brightness and range which reveals twice the amount of microscopic dust, allowing you to see where to clean.
The device's battery, meanwhile, can last up to 70 minutes of use.
Dyson is also releasing the Dyson Submarine, a new wet roller head for the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine and Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine vacuums. The company touts that it delivers just the right amount of water to rid hard floors of spills, stains and small debris. Additionally, it's been designed with an eight-point hydration system, enabling it to have even water distribution across the full width of the roller. The microfibre roller also features a system that separates cleanly from contaminated water, ensuring no dirt or debris is transferred back onto the floor.
Apart from vacuums, Dyson also announced two new purifiers: the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde and the Dyson HEPA Big+Quiet purifier. The former is designed for large, open-plan spaces, while the latter is for shared, commercial spaces. The two purifiers' new Cone Aerodynamics deliver a 10-metre projection, while the new CO2 sensor tells you when to ventilate. They also operate quietly without compromising performance and power, outputting only 56db of noise.
Local availability and pricing for all the products are to be announced at a later date.
