And in case you're wondering what the connection of ice cream is to Call of Duty, it's supposedly a reference to the franchise's iconic quote "stay frosty". Captain “Soap” MacTavish, who says the line, stars in Modern Warfare 2, which hits PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on 28 October 2022.

The beta access codes, which will be printed on a set of custom dog tags, will let you be among the first to experience the multiplayer portion of the upcoming game.

Here's a schedule of when you can play, depending on what console you're on:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 drops you into an unprecedented global conflict that features the return of the iconic operators of Task Force 141, a multinational special operations unit and the most popular in the franchise. This is a sequel to the 2019 reboot of the same name and is the 19th Call of Duty instalment.
