Asus has two new gaming laptops you can check out in Singapore.
The PC hardware maker on Wednesday, 17 July announced the launch of the ROG Zephyrus G16 and the TUF Gaming A14 in the country, unveiling pricing and release details of the two.
The ROG Zephyrus G16 is a refresh of the beloved Zephyrus G16 ultraportable gaming laptop, now housing a more powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. This processor features a built-in NPU capable of 50 TOPS of artificial intelligence (AI) performance, which works alongside the 31 TOPS from the CPU and the integrated Radeon 890M graphics to enhance AI-enabled applications like Windows Copilot.
The laptop comes with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, which itself is capable of up to 321 TOPS of AI performance at its maximum TGP of 105 watts. On top of that, the GPU boasts strong gaming performance and supports DLSS 3 super resolution, a feature that leverages AI to improve image quality and frame rates in games.
All that new hardware is supported by ROG Intelligent Cooling, including liquid metal on the CPU and a new fibre-and-mesh heat-pipe system with a tri-fan design.
Design-wise, the Zephyrus G16 maintains the same thin-and-light chassis that fans of the line have come to love, flaunting a CNC-milled aluminium body with a customisable Slash Lighting array on the lid. It also includes an ROG Nebula display with an OLED panel that has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution, and supports Nvidia G-sync and up to 240Hz refresh rate.
Inside, the laptop also comes with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory as well as support for the new SD Express 7.0 standard for ultrafast SD card performance. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, which is capable of higher speeds with less congestion using a compatible router.
You can pre-order the ROG Zephyrus G16 (GA605) from now until 1 August, with stocks releasing from 2 August onwards. The starting model with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU is priced at S$3,899, while the higher-end model with the RTX 4070 GPU is priced at S$4,299.
The TUF Gaming A14, meanwhile, is a more value-oriented release that similarly features an ultraportable design. This gaming laptop houses AMD Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 processors and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU to power both work and play applications.
Both the new Ryzen CPUs and the Nvidia GPUs feature AI capabilities. The CPUs ship with 12 cores, 24 threads, and a built-in NPU capable of 50 TOPS of AI performance, while the GPUs have Tensor Cores that use software to accelerate AI performance.
Also, for the first time in the TUF Gaming line, the laptop comes in a 14-inch form factor, designed to be thin-and-light, weighing only 1.46kg and measuring 1.69cm thick. Despite these dimensions, it supports up to an Nvidia 4060 Laptop GPU with a 100 W maximum TGP, which is far higher than many of its competitors.
What’s more, it includes dual-channel LPDDR5 memory as well as two M.2 2280 SSD slots, so you can add storage space if you ever need more. It additionally has USB power delivery with wide compatibility of USB-C devices.
You can pre-order the TUF Gaming A14 from now until 7 August, with stocks releasing from 8 August onwards. The starting model with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU is priced at S$2,799, while the model with the RTX 4060 GPU is priced at S$2,999.
