Ant Group's artificial intelligence vibe coding tool, LingGuang, has generated 3.3 million flash applications for users in the two weeks since its launch. The multimodal AI assistant can create simple apps in as little as 30 seconds, responding to users' natural language prompts.

Launched on November 18, LingGuang also functions as a conventional AI chatbot. Its rapid adoption saw downloads exceed 1 million within four days.

The app generation function was temporarily suspended in late November due to "excessive usage." Users have leveraged LingGuang's coding capabilities to build a diverse range of interactive applications.
These include a daily meal planner, a customised stretching exercise coach, and simple aircraft shooting and battle tank games. An independent tech analyst, Ding Daoshi, tried the app for game development.

Daoshi commented on the tool's performance, stating, "The initial results are quite rough, but I’m surprised how fast the app can improve them after I added follow-up prompts." He added that "AI coding has really inspired creativity among a much broader scale of ordinary users, beyond the developer community."
Users also shared their experiences on social media platforms. On Weibo, Jily Gou posted a video of creating a question randomiser on LingGuang.
Gou noted that "It works well on LingGuang’s own platform, and it’s very friendly for users without any coding experience like me." Another user, GTR Hui, reported encountering issues when trying to export code, despite building the app smoothly.
The tool's success reflects a growing interest in vibe coding tools globally and in China. Search organisation Baidu launched its no-code tool Miaoda in November.
US-based vibe coding leader Replit assists over 40 million users worldwide in generating code for software development. Google also unveiled an upgraded Gemini 3 in November, featuring improved vibe coding capabilities.
Ant Group has increased its investment in artificial intelligence. In June, the organisation launched AQ, a healthcare AI application providing doctor recommendations and medical report analysis.
Ant Group further identified healthcare as a new AI-driven business pillar in November. Ant Group is an affiliate of Alibaba Group Holding.
