The Chinese tech giant last week launched the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, a flagship boasting professional-level camera experience and uncompromised performance.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra's quad cameras feature a Leica optical lens, which covers a range of focal lengths from 12mm (ultra-wide angle), 23mm (wide-angle), 75mm (telephoto) to the new 120mm (super-telephoto), along with the extra 46mm and 240mm lengths through the in-sensor-zoom. The camera system additionally features a variable aperture. Three of the sensors have an aperture wider than f/2.0, bringing in more light and a shallow depth of field to make captures quicker and look more natural. The one-inch IMX989 primary sensor also touts a new physical two-stop aperture that switches between f/1.9 and f/4.0.

What's more, the smartphone adds a new Fast Shot mode that allows users to take focus-free snapshots by setting the focus point manually and later capturing the moment in just 0.8s.

The primary sensor also supports 50MP RAW, bringing a higher imaging resolution, while providing multi-frame 14-bit UltraRAW. That allows users to maximise the dynamic range, details and texture of the images they capture.

For display, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra flaunts a 6.73-inch WQHD+ panel with Dolby Vision support and peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits. It's also been calibrated according to the new CIE 2015 colourimetry, which supports automatic colour management to ensure accurate and consistent colour presentation.

Under the hood, the flagship ships with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired turbocharging. It also features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, enabling DisplayPort video output of up to 4K at 60Hz.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which comes in Black and Olive Green, is available for pre-orders in Singapore until 30 June. It's priced at S$1,899 and can be purchased via Authorised Xiaomi Stores and partner retailers.

Those who pre-order can score a free Xiaomi 50W Wireless Charging Stand worth S$79 and a Xiaomi 13 Ultra Professional Photography Set worth S$249. Other gifts include 100GB cloud storage on Google One for six months, 1+1 years of extended warranty on the smartphone and three months of access to YouTube Premium. These deals operate on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.
