Update [4:50 PM]: WhatsApp services seem to have been restored. According to Meta's status page of its products, WhatsApp Business suffered major outages with its Cloud API.

WhatsApp is currently down at the time of writing. The popular voice and video chat app was down since 3pm Singapore time.

Over 20 thousand users online complained about the outage on downdetector. The complaints include not being able to connect to the WhatsApp server and also messages being stuck at sending. News of the outage is streaming in from around the world. Users from as far as UK and India are also facing the same issue.
