Update: Mark Zuckerberg, Chief Executive Officer of Facebook has made an apology on Facebook for the nearly 6 hours outages on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram in most parts of the world.

WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram has been down in most parts of the world, affecting tens of millions of users across the social and communication platforms.


A quick check on Facebook's website has shown that the platform is down.


Downdetector.com, an outage tracking website has shown reports on issues by users across the various social and communication platforms.



Netizens has taken to Twitter to share the outages and #WhatsApp is currently trending together with #FacebookDown, #Instagram and #Facebook.


Meantime, Instagram Comms, Facebook and WhatsApp have also taken to Twitter to confirm the outages.



Twitter also made a response in view of the outages.
