A senior operations associate at Secretlab SG, Gabriel Chan Guo Rong, has been sentenced to 14 months' jail for misappropriating 209 gaming chairs worth around S$118,500.

Chan conspired with another individual, Tan Zheng Qiang, to sell the chairs on Carousell at discounted prices.
The scheme lasted for about 11 months before Secretlab discovered the unauthorised sales and filed a police report. Chan, who pleaded guilty to the charge, used the money he gained from the sales to pay off his credit card bills and personal expenses. Secretlab has terminated Chan's employment and reached a civil settlement with him for restitution. Tan's case is still pending.
