Seagate Launches Spider-Man-Themed FireCuda HDDs in Singapore
Data storage specialist Seagate has partnered with entertainment giant Marvel to launch a new line of external drives featuring Spider-Man.
The line consists of three all-new officially licensed Marvel limited-edition external hard disk drive (HDD) designs, commemorating the friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler, Ghost-Spider (aka Gwen Stacy) and Miles Morales with unique and one-of-a-kind artwork. Each of the three features customisable RGB LED lighting, allowing you to match the drive's design to your gaming setup or your other accessories.
Seagate previously partnered with Star Wars to release drives that featured characters from The Mandalorian.
The FireCuda drives come with 2TB of capacity and are compatible with Windows PCs, Macs, PlayStation and Xbox, making them versatile enough for a wide range of data storage needs. You can use them to store everything from important files to media to games. They’re also designed with a USB 3.2 Gen1 connection for universal compatibility and fast transfer speeds.
What’s more, the new drives come with Seagate’s three-year limited warranty and three years of Rescue Data Recovery Services, so you don’t ever have to worry about losing whatever it is you store in them. They also include the proprietary DiscWizard and SeaTools diagnostic software to help you get on top of the health and performance of your drive.
The new Spider-Man drives are now available at Seagate’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada as well as exclusively at some Popular bookstores for a retail price of S$139.
You can also take advantage of the Seagate Product Take Back Programme to redeem a S$15 e-voucher, which you can use at Seagate’s official Shopee store. To sign up, you can register your drives through the Seagate website and return any eligible drives to a Seagate Return Centre. Seagate will then conduct verification and validate the drive before you’ll receive your e-voucher.
Seagate says the programme was launched to promote the sustainability of old drives and give them new life.
