Samsung has confirmed major design updates are coming to its Galaxy Z folding phones and Galaxy Watch lineup, with a focus on innovation, performance and affordability.

During its first-quarter earnings call on April 30, Daniel Araujo from Samsung’s MX division revealed that the company is preparing to launch a new Galaxy Watch featuring an “innovative design” and “enhanced health-related features.”
The upcoming Galaxy Watch will target the premium segment while expanding across all price points. Samsung hinted at improved health sensors, building on existing features like blood pressure monitoring.
Araujo also addressed the future of Samsung’s folding phones, stating that the company is reviewing new form factors to meet market demands and customer expectations. He emphasised the importance of real-world usability and product quality.
Samsung plans to strengthen its foldable phone lineup, focusing on “performance, design and durability.” This likely refers to the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, expected in 2025.
The company also aims to expand its customer base by introducing more affordable folding phone options. This marks a shift from the traditionally high-priced foldable devices Samsung has released so far.
In addition to product updates, Samsung acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding tariffs due to shifting global policies and geopolitical tensions. The company noted the difficulty in predicting the business impact of such changes.
