Samsung’s Modular MicroLED TV, 8K QLED TVs and The Sero TVs Showcased At CES 2020
Updated: Aug 19, 2021
Ever wanted to build your TV up brick by brick? You can do that now with Samsung’s 2020 modular MicroLED TV which allows multiple panels to be joined together to form a single display.
Each panel is virtually bezel-less and the MicroLED TVs come in 75″, 88″, 93″ and 110″ models. Samsung claims MicroLED panels offer the best-in-class picture quality as well, with a peak brightness of 5000 nits.

Aside from that, the new 8K QLED TV that Samsung announced introduces the “Infinity Screen” which has a screen-to-body ratio of 99% and is claimed to offer an unprecedented viewing experience.
With the AI Quantum Processor 8K, the TV has built-in 8K upscaling and is able to optimise the screen to both ambient conditions and individual images. There are also other features like Object Tracking Sound+ which will isolate key objects in the content the viewer is watching and ensure that the sound coming from that object (noise from a helicopter’s blades, for example) is correctly located in the soundstage.
Want to mirror cast your phone to your TV, but hate the black bars on the side? Samsung has solved that problem with their new The Sero TV. Meaning “vertical” in Korean, The Sero has the ability to automatically pivot between landscape and portrait orientation, either from a remote or by tapping the side of the TV with a paired phone.
With this TV winning a “Best Of Innovation” award at CES, millennials and younger consumers will love this new format of consuming and sharing content with their family and friends.
