You Can Buy Samsung’s New 8K Neo QLED TVs in SG From March 2021

The television has become even more ubiquitous in most homes nowadays, thanks to COVID-19, and if you’re looking to upgrade your home setup, nobody can blame you. Samsung knows this, and they’ve just announced a whole bunch of new TVs and monitors at their Unbox & Discover 2021 for both work and play, including the jaw-dropping 8K Neo QLED TVs.

The Frame 2021

According to Samsung, The Frame has made its way into more than one million homes since its launch, and the 2021 edition has even more customisability.

There are new mounting options like the Slim Fit Wall Mount, and five bezel options including black, white, teak and an all-new brick red. Samsung has also partnered with new services to offer even more art beyond the original 1,400-strong gallery, with NAVA Contemporary and Etsy coming onboard.

There’s even a new accessory called My Shelf that will be able to be attached to the 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch The Frame TVs that allow users to create a customised wall to fit their needs.

The Frame 2021 and the Slim Fit Wall Mount is expected to be available in Singapore from April.

The Premiere

If you miss going to the movie theatres, Samsung has you covered. The Premiere is the industry’s first triple-laser projector capable of 4K resolution, and content can be projected up to 130-inches on a wall or rollable screens that Samsung will be offering later in 2021.

The projector is ultra-short-throw, meaning it can be placed just 11cm away from the wall but still project perfectly fine. There are also two woofers and two tweeters built-in, offering a 4.2ch 40W sound system.

The Premiere will be available in Singapore from mid-March.

Neo QLED TVs

Samsung’s newest TV technology, Neo QLED, is the way of the future. At just 1/40 the size of a traditional LED, Neo QLED TVs allow for better light control, offering deeper blacks and even more detail in content.

If you’re a console gamer, you might want to grab one of these new TVs since Samsung has renewed their partnership with Xbox, meaning the Neo QLED and QLED TVs will support 4K gaming at 120 frames per second and a 5.8ms response time.

That’s not all though, with AMD also jumping on board to make the Neo QLED lineup the first TVs in the world to offer FreeSync Premium Pro for a low-latency HDR gaming experience.

The Neo QLED TVs will be available in Singapore from mid-March.

MicroLED TVs

We covered this back at CES 2021, but Samsung is giving a bit more details by revealing that the 99-inch and 110-inch models will be rolling out globally at the end of March 2021, the 88-inch will come in Fall 2021 and the 76-inch model is in the works.

The TVs will be available in Singapore from the end of Q2 2021.

Odyssey G9 gaming monitor

Want the best of the best when it comes to your gaming experience? It’s hard to beat Samsung’s Odyssey G9, the monitor that has a 1000R curve radius, but the brand has managed to make it even better by throwing in Quantum MiniLED technology, making the screen even better than before.

At the time of publication, Samsung has not provided availability dates for the Odyssey G9 in Singapore.

Q950A soundbar

Samsung is definitely pulling out the big guns this year, and the Q950A soundbar is something that will wow home audio enthusiasts. As the world’s first 11.1.4 channel soundbar, you’ll get a whopping 21 speakers inside that also supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound.

Don’t expect it to come cheap though; flagship Samsung soundbars from previous years had a US$1800 price tag at launch.

The soundbar will be available in Singapore from April onwards.
