Disney+ will be launching in Singapore on 23 February 2021 and the release will include all six of the company’s iconic brands: Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, and Star – a new channel where Disney-owned content from Hulu, ABC, FOX, and Freeform will be available.

The streaming service offers over 650 films and 15,000 episodes of content from The Walt Disney Company’s greatest storytellers to choose from – ranging from the company’s many Disney classics to their many all-new original series.

“WandaVision”, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “Loki” are all shows that subscribers can watch, and Marvel fans will definitely want to check these out. These programs will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in 2021.

Additionally, Marvel will release three other shows for Disney+. “What If…?”, a series that will focus on alternate realities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe while “Ms Marvel” will introduce a 16-year-old Pakistani American named Kamala Khan and her life growing up in Jersey City. Lastly, “Hawkeye”, in which Jeremy Renner reprises his role as the titular character.

“Raya and the Last Dragon”, a film inspired by the cultures and people of Southeast Asia, will also be released simultaneously in theatres and on Disney+ with Premier Access.

Original Star Wars shows such as the “Rangers of the New Republic” (starring Gina Carano from The Mandalorian), “Ahsoka” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” animated series will also be available for Singaporean viewers when released. Subscribers will be able to watch “The Mandalorian” and follow Din Djarin and Grogu’s adventures in the galaxy far, far away.

Disney+ subscribers can watch programs from National Geographic as well such as “The Right Stuff” and “Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted”.

Star, Disney’s new channel, will bring a collection of general entertainment series, movies, and documentaries for families, older teens, and adults. These include “Grey’s Anatomy”, “How I Met Your Mother”, and Star Originals like “Big Sky” and “Helstrom.”

Disney+ will launch in Singapore for S$11.98 monthly or S$119.98 annually. It will be available on gaming consoles, Smart TVs, and streaming media players.

If you’re a StarHub customer though, you might be able to get a free subscription! Both new and existing StarHub Mobile, TV, and Broadband customers can enjoy up to two years of free access to Disney+. However, not everyone is eligible for the free two-year subscription.

Customers will either have to sign up for two of StarHub’s TV+ Passes or add a second TV+ Pass to their HomeHub+ to enjoy Disney+ for free when it releases according to StarHub’s Disney+ page. Similarly, mobile and broadband customers will need to be of a certain tier to qualify for the free subscription.
