The Chinese tech giant today announced the launch of the Enco Air3 Pro, the world's first bamboo-fibre diaphragm earbuds with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) features. The earbuds also support LDAC protocol to deliver a hi-fidelity audio experience.

The Enco Air3 Pro's bamboo-fibre diaphragm boasts a number of advantages over the titanium-plated diaphragm of many of the earbuds in the market today. The new Oppo earbuds are said to be lighter, which allow them to respond to changes in sound faster and are more rigid, making them less prone to distortion. The internal damping is also more elastic, which aids the ANC in further reducing background noise for wearers.

What's more, the Enco Air3 Pro can transmit audio at a bit rate of up to 990kbps, with support for LDAC protocol. That's three times the bit rate of traditional SBC encoders, which cap at 328kbps. A higher bitrate generally means the clearer and more detailed sound. Most smartphone owners can take advantage of the feature as almost all Android 8 or above releases support high-resolution transmission.

Other features of the earbuds include support for Golden Sound 2.0, Enco Master tuning and Oppo Alive.

The Enco Air3 Pro also combines the use of a dual microphone system and artificial intelligence noise cancellation algorithm to bring adaptive ANC features. The earbuds can, for instance, can switch ANC profiles based on the wearers' environment, allowing them to further enjoy their music wherever they go. There's also a Transparent Mode that would enable them to communicate with others without having to take the earbuds off.

Apart from these, the earbuds feature seamless switching between two devices and a battery life of up to seven hours – up to 30 hours if you include the battery of the charging case.

The Oppo Enco Air3 Pro goes on sale starting 15 July for the retail price of S$129. It'll be available via Oppo's official online store, Lazada and Shopee, along with other authorised online retailers.
