Nothing has launched its first over-ear wireless headphones, Headphone (1), developed in partnership with British audio brand KEF.

The new release marks a significant step for the London-based tech company, founded in 2020 by Swedish entrepreneur Carl Pei. Known for its design-led approach, Nothing has sold over 10 million devices and surpassed USD 1 billion in lifetime revenue.

Headphone (1) combines KEF’s acoustic engineering with Nothing’s signature transparent design. The headphones feature custom 40mm dynamic drivers, promising rich, natural audio with deep bass, detailed mids and crisp treble.
The headphones support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency Mode and Spatial Audio with head tracking. Nothing claims the ANC adapts in real time using dual feedforward and feedback microphones.

The design includes tactile controls such as a roller, paddle and buttons, avoiding touch interfaces for more precise adjustments. The ear cups are made from aluminium and durable plastics, with oil-resistant PU memory foam cushions for comfort.
Headphone (1) supports Hi-Res Audio via LDAC codec, USB-C lossless playback and a 3.5mm jack. It also includes Bluetooth 5.3, Multipoint Connectivity, Google Fast Pair and a low-latency mode for gaming and video.
Battery life reaches up to 35 hours with ANC on and 80 hours with it off. A 5-minute charge provides up to 2.4 hours of playback.

A standout feature is “The Button,” a customisable control that works with the Nothing X app. It enables quick switching between audio apps and can trigger voice commands or open Essential Space, a built-in audio notepad.
Users can also access an 8-band Advanced EQ through the app for personalised sound tuning.

Headphone (1) will be available in black and white for USD 299 / £299 / €299. Global pre-orders begin July 4, 2025, at nothing.tech and select partners. Open sales start July 15, 2025.
