Nintendo Switch 2 Becomes Fastest-Selling Console in Company History

Nintendo has sold more than 3.5 million units of its new Switch 2 console within four days of launch, setting a new company record.
The Kyoto-based gaming giant announced the milestone on Wednesday, calling the Switch 2 its fastest-selling gaming device to date.
The second-generation console, which launched on June 5, features a larger screen and enhanced graphics while maintaining similarities with the original model.
It is bundled with popular titles such as "Mario Kart World."
Nintendo of America President and Chief Operating Officer Doug Bowser said fans worldwide are embracing the Switch 2 as an upgraded way to play both at home and on the go.
Nintendo has forecast sales of 15 million Switch 2 units for the current financial year ending next March.
Since its original launch in 2017, the company has sold 152 million Switch consoles globally, driven by hit games like "The Legend of Zelda" and "Animal Crossing: New Horizons."
