The NETS Prepaid Card is a stored-value card that lets you enjoy secure contactless payments across over 120,000 acceptance points in the country. This makes it the stored value card with the largest number of acceptance points locally.

Apart from the wide acceptance, the NETS Prepaid Card includes smart features via NETS App, which is available on Google Play and the App Store. You can use it to top up your card on the go or track and manage your household expenses. The app even allows you to retrieve the stored value of your card in case you lose it. You can also customise it as a gift card, providing recipients with the freedom to shop wherever they desire.

What's more, if you're a commuter, you can link the card to the TransitLink SimplyGo app to enable contactless payments for local trains, buses and other transit partners.

Up to 10 cards can be linked to a single NETS account on the NETS App, giving you access to features such as topping up on the go, locking and requesting refunds for remaining stored value for misplaced cards, setting daily

spending limits and monitoring transactions made on each card.

You can top up your card through different means, including NETS bank cards. Your preferred payment card can also be stored on the app to speed up the process. Once a NETS Prepaid Card has been linked to a NETS account, you use the app to review your transaction history, set auto top-up whenever your card's balance dips below a certain amount and manage spending limits.

To avoid fraud and abuse, you can lock your card if you lose it with a simple tap of a button on the app. Locking and unlocking take effect immediately, so, as long as you can access the app, you're always secure. You can also permanently terminate your NETS Prepaid Card to refund its stored value.

“The NETS Prepaid Card is part of our continued effort to connect communities and empower lives," said Lawrence Chan, Group CEO of NETS. "Families will be empowered to take control of daily expenses as they can provide their dependents and domestic helper with contactless payment options that can be easily tracked."

The card doesn't require credit checks and there's no minimum age or income requirement for purchase, which means this could be a great way for parents to introduce contactless payments and cards in a safer manner to younger children. It is available at 7-Eleven convenience stores, Buzz, Japan Home, Mustafa, Sir Handphone, TransitLink Ticket Offices at MRT stations and bus interchanges, NETS Customer Service Centre, along with Lazada and Shopee. Starting in December, it will also be available at Sunshine Star and J.B.I Trading.
