Reports have emerged of "blue screen of death" (BSOD) crashes on Windows hosts, indicating a system crash on Microsoft's operating system. Crowdstrike has acknowledged the widespread reports of BSODs and is working to address the issue.

The impact of the outage has been felt across various sectors. Flights have been disrupted, with check-ins at Singapore's Changi Airport reportedly affected. Banks and telecom companies in Australia have experienced outages, as indicated by crowdsourced website Downdetector. The London Stock Exchange group platforms in the UK were also temporarily out of service.

The outage has caused major network disruptions, with the Australian state broadcaster ABC experiencing a significant network outage. Sky News Australia, among other major companies, has also been affected, with their systems and computers down.

While information about the outage is still emerging, it is important to note that there is no indication of a hack being the cause. Correspondent Tom Connell from Sky News Australia confirmed that the outage was not believed to be the result of a cyberattack.

Some payment systems like NETS, PayLah and Cabcharge are also affected.
