Logitech Pebble 2 Mouse and Keyboard Review - Greener & Still Affordable

Updated: Dec 18, 2023

Logitech’s new Pebble 2 keyboard and mouse are again affordable, compact and durable. The Pebble 2 Collection is perfect for everyday computing on the go. Similar to its original Pebble mouse and keyboard, which debuted in 2020. It’s known for it’s reliability, affordability and portability.

One of the biggest changes is that the Pebble 2 keyboard and mouse are now greener. There is more recycled plastic than the original pebbles. Each Pebble Mouse 2 M350s is made out of about 58% recycled plastic, while the Pebble Keys 2 K380s are made out of about 49% recycled plastic. As a result, Logitech claims that the new devices are more environmentally friendly.

The Pebble Mouse 2 is only 26.2 x 58.7 x 106.7mm in size and weighs 76g, with an AA battery inside it. Logitech claims that its battery life can last up to 2 years. The Pebble Key 2 K380s measures 124 x 279 x 16mm. With two AAA batteries in it, it weighs only about 415 g. It claims to last for up to three years. The Pebble Combo 2 comes in 5 fresh pastel colors: Tonal Graphite, Tonal White, Tonal Rose, Tonal Sand and Tonal Blue. The fact that it comes in a wide range of colours gives me the freedom to personalise my workspace with the colour of my choice. Both devices feature a slim and minimalist design. However, the small size and low-profile keys of the Pebble Key 2 and the compact size of the Pebble Mouse 2 could prove tiresome for users with larger hands. If you have smaller hands and palms like me, this combo will fit perfectly.

The Pebble Mouse 2 M350s now includes a customisable middle button that can be programmed through the Logitech Options+ app, users can assign actions like launching apps or sending emojis. This offers more personalisation than the original Pebble mouse. The Pebble Mouse 2 M350s has a high precision optical sensor with a DPI range of 400-4000 that can be adjusted.

The Pebble Key 2 K380s, on the other hand, have 10 customisable Fn shortcut keys and quiet, laptop-like scissor keys that can also be programmed through the Logitech Options+ app. Both connect via Bluetooth Low Energy or the Logitech Bolt USB receiver. It is rather disappointing that the Logi Bolt USB receiver is not included when you purchase the devices. The Pebble 2 combo can be paired with up to three devices, like a Mac, PC, tablet, or smartphone. To switch between devices, all you need to do is press it once to cycle through the paired options. The keyboard or the mouse will automatically disconnect from one device and reconnect to the other. This allows us to take multitasking to a whole new level.
