Karcher SC3 Upright Easyfix Launch: Steam Cleaning At An Affordable Price

Updated: Aug 19, 2021

Sometimes, stains and grime on the floor are just too stubborn for a normal mop or vacuum. That’s when Karcher’s SC3 Upright Easyfix comes in handy. Steam cleaners are usually bulky and not all that convenient to lug around the house, but the SC3 has a removable water tank that sits on the stick so it’s all that users will have to move around.

The water in the tank heats up in under 30 seconds, so people looking to clean their houses quickly will be able to do so with as little waiting time as possible. There are three steam settings for different floor types, and the steam volume can be adjusted as well.

Thankfully, limescale isn’t too much of an issue in Singapore since our water isn’t as “hard” as that of other countries. Karcher has included an integrated descaling cartridge though, so if it’s an issue you’re dealing with, you’ll be happy to know the water you’re using won’t cause damage to the grout between your bathroom tiles.

I managed to give the SC3 a go on hard flooring and found that the microfibre cloth and steam combination resulted in an easy glide across the floor. This should be the case for most flooring types. The settings are for carpet, tiles or hard flooring, and parquet, so users will be able to choose the optimal amount of steam and pressure for their floor.

It is corded, however, but the whole stick is definitely lighter than the FC5 which we reviewed previously and more maneuverable.

The Karcher SC3 (S$398) will be available at all major electronics and electric appliance stores in Singapore from 21 October 2019 onwards.
