JBL has launched its Cove whole-home Wi-Fi speaker range in Singapore, introducing three connected speakers that can work independently, as stereo pairs or together as a multi-room audio system.

JBL Cove whole-home Wi-Fi speaker

The range consists of the compact JBL Cove M1, portable Cove P1 and larger Cove X1. All three connect through the JBL One app and support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth alongside AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and Roon Ready.

Music that follows you around the house

One of Cove’s more distinctive features is Music Follows Me. Instead of opening an app and manually changing speaker groups when moving between rooms, users can press and hold the Moment button on another Cove speaker to move their music to that room.

JBL says setup takes three steps through the JBL One app. Once connected, users can group multiple speakers for synchronised playback or play different audio in individual rooms.

All three models also use automatic self-tuning, Constant Sound Field and AI Sound Boost. JBL says the technologies are designed to adjust performance according to speaker placement while reducing distortion at higher volumes.

Three speakers for different rooms

The Cove M1 is the smallest model, using three tweeters and a four-inch woofer. It supports stereo pairing and multi-room playback but does not include Dolby Atmos.

The portable Cove P1 adds Dolby Atmos, an IP56 rating and up to 14 hours of battery life. It comes with a charging dock, allowing it to operate as a home speaker before being picked up and moved to another room or outside.

At the top of the range, the Cove X1 features four tweeters, including an upward-firing driver, and two woofers. Like the P1, it supports Dolby Atmos.

Works with JBL soundbars

Cove can also integrate with compatible JBL Bar Series MK2 soundbars. The M1 and P1 can be used as rear channels for multi-channel home theatre setups, while the wider Cove ecosystem can also be used for multi-room music.

In Singapore, the JBL Cove M1 is priced at S$399, the Cove P1 at S$659 and the Cove X1 at S$799. The speakers are available in black and white through JBL’s online store and authorised retailers.

The launch gives JBL a more complete connected-home audio ecosystem, extending the brand beyond its familiar portable Bluetooth speakers into Wi-Fi-based multi-room listening.
