Ever find yourself in a situation where you need to print important documents but your printer ran out of ink? Well, HP looks to solve that exact annoyance, announcing today the launch of Instant Ink in Singapore.
Instant Ink is a subscription service that offers a convenient and hassle-free way for you to get ink delivered to your doorstep before your supply runs out and when you need it. You also get to enjoy the assurance that you’re receiving original HP cartridges, which the company touts are odourless and designed for reliability and consistency. Plus, you can cut your ink costs by up to half, with subscription plans starting at S$1.90 per month.
"Subscribers will not have to worry about ‘inkmergencies’ – Instant Ink delivers new ink cartridges before they ever run out,” said Vivian Chua, Managing Director for HP Inc. Singapore. “I am excited for print users to experience the freedom, flexibility and convenience of using Instant Ink."
Subscription prices are as follows:
10 pages/month - S$1.90
50 pages/month - S$5.90
100 pages/month - S$8.90
300 pages/month - S$17.90
700 pages/month - S$36.90
There are no annual fees or lock-in periods, so if your printing needs ever change after you subscribe, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime. What's more, you will receive a free three-month trial of up to 1,500 pages per month when you buy an eligible printer during the promo period.
HP said that Instant Ink was designed not only to help the over 10 million subscribers worldwide but also to help save the planet. When you subscribe, you become part of a closed-loop cartridge recycling process that minimizes waste and carbon emissions. The company added that recycled cartridges require less packaging and transport. You also don't have to go to a store to buy new ink, lessening your carbon footprint even more. So far, HP has recycled more than 875 million ink and toner cartridges.
