Hellobike Launches Robotaxi Venture With Ant Group, CATL in Shanghai

China’s Hellobike has partnered with Ant Group and CATL to establish a new robotaxi company, investing over SGD 535 million (USD 417.40 million) in the venture.

The new firm was officially registered in Shanghai on Monday and will focus on research and development, safety applications, and commercialisation of level 4 autonomous driving technology.

Hellobike announced the collaboration in a statement, highlighting the joint effort with fintech giant Ant Group and battery manufacturer CATL.

Level 4 autonomous driving allows vehicles to operate without human intervention under specific conditions, marking a significant step toward fully autonomous transport.
