Garmin Enduro 4 Brings 320 Hour Solar Battery to Singapore

Garmin Singapore has announced the Enduro 4, which it describes as its longest lasting GPS smartwatch with solar charging. The watch pairs a 1.4 inch memory in pixel display with a solar lens, and Garmin rates it at up to 320 hours of activity use or up to 90 days in smartwatch mode. Both figures assume hours of bright sunlight at 50,000 lux, which the company states plainly in its footnotes.

The endurance pitch rests on power modes. The two presets Garmin names are Max Accuracy, for full feature tracking on shorter efforts, and Max Battery, for extended recording. Garmin says the longest activity figure of 320 hours relies on that extended battery setting.
Most of the new software looks at hilly ground. Grade adjusted pace based workout targets keep effort inside a range on climbs, while grade adjusted rolling pace shows pace across changing terrain. And stamina zones and a stamina curve show how a wearer's endurance holds up through an activity and changes over time.
Scoppen Lin, assistant general manager at Garmin Asia, framed the launch around that audience. "As interest and participation in ultra endurance activities continue to grow, Enduro 4 is designed for athletes and adventurers who want gear they can trust to perform through every mile, every climb and every challenge," he said. He added that the power modes make the most of the battery, while grade adjusted metrics add a new dimension for hilly or mountainous terrain.
Navigation gets a hardware bump. Garmin says the watch carries 50% more memory than the Enduro 3 and a new map engine, with panning about 30% faster, routable maps built in and a smoother, more intuitive interface. A perspective view is meant to help a wearer read the ground ahead, near and far.
Garmin Epic groups several outings into one record. Sessions can be bundled across days, weeks or months, given photos and shared, with health and performance data gathered for the whole period and shared with family and friends. But the training additions also reach the gym and the trail, across more than 100 activity profiles, with VO2 max and a power curve for indoor rowing, and rucking that lets pack weight be adjusted mid activity.
The case is built around weight. Enduro 4 weighs 66 grams in a 51mm titanium and fibre reinforced polymer body under a Power Sapphire lens, with a white and red flashlight and 10 ATM water resistance, and Garmin calls it one of the lightest ultra performance watches on the market. The company also lists a fabric band with a quick release fitting, plus 64 GB of storage for maps, music and data.
Enduro 4 goes on sale in Singapore later this month at a suggested retail price of SGD 1,219. Garmin lists its brand stores, Lazada, Shopee, its online store, Takashimaya and selected authorised retailers. The release does not say how the solar figures hold through Singapore's cloudier weeks, since its footnotes tie both battery claims to 50,000 lux conditions.
