Experience Intel 12th-Gen With MSI At Funan!
It's no surprise that we quite like MSI. We recently checked out their latest Stealth GS77 and that was certainly a joy to use. It's a 17-inch laptop that's slim and relatively light but yet packing quite the punch. Up to a 12th-Gen Intel Core i9 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, a combo that can handle any of your gaming or creative needs. If you would like to check out our latest take on the MSI Stealth GS77, do head over to YouTube! But in any case, if what we just said tickled your interest, perhaps you might want to make some time in your schedule these few days for MSI is holding an Intel 12th-Generation exhibition at Funan!
Make your down to B2 and you definitely won't miss it. Feel free to take a look and have a feel for yourself the latest range of MSI laptops, most of which are featuring the latest 12th-Gen Intel Core chips. Expect up to an Intel Core i9-12900HK and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti offerings, as well as perhaps lighter combos like the Intel Core i7-1260P.
MSI has made it it quite easy for you to quickly identify what kind of laptops you might be interested in and know more about. On the left is MSI's bread and butter, the gaming range which comprises of various laptops such as the aforementioned Stealth GS77 which is part of the Stealth series, the Sword/Katana GF series, the Crosshair/Pulse series and much more.
Of particular note, the Stealth 15M caught our eye. It features a new design alongside upgraded hardware with the Core i7-12700H and GeForce RTX 3060. Paired with a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS 144Hz display, it makes for a solid everyday gaming experience. It also comes with a new keyboard designed by MSI themselves and it's pretty thin and ight at just about 17mm and 1.8kg.
If gaming is what you're mainly interested in, definitely check out this aisle first and foremost.
If you're someone who's a little more outgoing perhaps, or you simply move to and fro really often, you might want to check out the opposite site where you can find MSI's business & productivity range which comprises of the Summit, Prestige and Modern series.
The Prestige 14 Evo in particular really delivers on most fronts. You can go for a neutral Carbon Gray or a slightly unique Bluestone colourway. The chassis is just about 15.9mm thin and the entire laptop weighs a really light 1.29kg. You can expect up to a intel Core i7-1260P, a processor that utilizes the new hybrid architecture featuring 4 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores making a total of 12 cores and 16 threads. This is paired with 16GB of LPDDR4x dual channel RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD storage. Couple that with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port and a microSD card reader to boot, it really makes for a versatile package. To add on, definitely do not underestimate how capable the Intel Iris Xe graphics are with that Core i7-1260P. You can definitely play games like CS:GO or Valorant at 1080p High settings and still enjoy really great frame rates.
But back to the show floor! If you're not that much of a gamer and neither are you going to be travelling a whole lot but yet you require the performance to run all your 3D applications and more, the middle aisle is where you want to be at. This is where you can find the Creator series from MSI which is part of their Content Creation range of laptops.
We had a brief hands-on the Creator Z16P and this is one laptop that really doesn't compromise. Being able to configure it with up to an Intel Core i7-12900HK and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, this is one laptop that can handle that and more. That would be paired with a gorgeous True Pixel display of which you can opt for up to a 16-inch QHD+ (2560 x 1600) IPS display that's capable of 165Hz and cover 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space while achieving a ΔE > 2. This means not only are you going to get really great performance, but you can be safe assured that colours of your photos, videos or even 3D models with textures are going to look as they should be.
Alternatively if you require a hybrid solution to your workflow, perhaps the Summit series would be more your fancy. Also on display is the Summit E16 Flip which features up to an Intel Core-1280P alongside the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 powering the very same display that can be found on the Creator Z16P. Except with this, you can flip it full 180 and use it like a tablet should you wish to do so.
But that's not all that MSI has in store for you.
