Epson Launches 64-Inch SureColor G9030 Textile Printer

Epson has launched the SureColor G9030 in Singapore, its first 64-inch direct-to-film printer for high-volume industrial textile production. The machine combines a wider printing area with a default print speed of 34.1 square metres per hour and automated maintenance features designed to reduce downtime. Available from 1 October, it also supports an optional twin-roll setup that allows businesses to run two printing jobs side by side on a single machine.

The G9030 offers a maximum print width of 1,626mm. Its optional Twin Roll configuration is designed for businesses that want to handle two jobs at once without adding a second printer.

At its centre is a 2.64-inch PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead with 9,600 nozzles, three times the nozzle count of the SureColor G6030. Epson says the symmetrical nozzle arrangement helps reduce banding and colour inconsistencies.

A built-in heater warms the media before the powdering stage, helping prevent ink drips and wasted material. The printer includes Epson Edge Print PRO software.

Several systems address maintenance. Nozzle Verification detects missing nozzles and compensates for them, while White Ink Circulation helps prevent sedimentation and clogging. A fabric wiper cleans the printhead.

The printer also uses a separate suction cap and cleaning station to automate cleaning and reduce daily maintenance work. Epson’s Pressurised Cleaning system, introduced for its direct-to-film printers, cleans the nozzles and helps reduce air bubbles.

Through User Self-Repair CoverPlus, users can replace selected components, including the printhead, without specialist tools. Epson positions the G9030 for textile producers seeking higher output with fewer interruptions.

The SureColor G9030 is available in Singapore from 1 October. The announcement did not state a price.
