Epson continues its market dominance in the ASEAN region.

The Japanese electronics manufacturer has been recognised by market intelligence group IDC as the leading brand across key printing categories, namely Large Format Printer, Graphic Textile, Photo Graphic and Signage, in the ASEAN region for 2024.
“We're thrilled to be recognised by IDC as a leader in these categories, reflecting our commitment to innovation and high-quality printing solutions across ASEAN,” said Jocelyn Tan, Regional Deputy Director, Commercial Products & Industrial Inkjet.
According to IDC, Epson is the market leader in the ASEAN region for the Large Format Printing category with a 19.2% market share, setting the standard in large-format solutions, particularly in Computer-Aided Design and Graphic Products.
Epson was also the leader in the Large Format Printing category in the ASEAN region in 2022.
Singapore was its number one customer in 2024, with it holding a whopping 44.5% market share in the country. Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia trail behind at 27.9%, 22.2%, 18.1% and 16.7%, respectively.
Epson is also a leader in the Graphic Textile category in ASEAN, boasting a 43% market share in 2024. The electronics manufacturer credits its position in the market to its ability to address customers’ evolving print demands through new and innovative product developments – exemplified by the SureColor SC-F1030 and the recently launched SureColor G6030 DTFilm Printer.

In the Philippines, Epson dominates the Graphic Textile category, holding a 51.1% market share. Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand are behind it at 49.2%, 30.6% and 30.4% of the market share, respectively.
Epson additionally holds the number one position in the Photo Graphic (Aqueous Ink) category in ASEAN, with a 20.4% market share. The manufacturer said its printers in this category are the top choice of businesses because its ink technology can deliver precision and fine detail with vivid colours.
Epson is once again the top choice in Singapore in the Photo Graphic category, with the manufacturer commanding an impressive 67.9% market share in the country. Singapore is followed by Thailand with 32.2%, while Malaysia and Indonesia are behind it, with 20.4% and 19.9%, respectively.
Lastly, Epson also holds the top position in ASEAN’s Signage category with a 10.5% market share. It credits its favourable sales in the category to its ability to provide advanced ink technologies that meet the needs of businesses requiring durable and impactful signage.
In Singapore, Epson holds 48.5% market share, while Thailand leads with 29.5% and Malaysia holds 19% market share.
“With a strong focus on pushing industry standards and delivering exceptional technology, Epson remains the go-to choice for businesses seeking reliable and advanced printing solutions in the region,” added Ms Tan.
